181 West Madison
Chicago, IL
181 West Madison is a fifty-story tower that stands as a refined presence in Chicago’s Loop, distinguished by its recessed crown and grand entrance loggia. Clad in silver-tinted glass and granite, the building’s entrance is marked by a four-story colonnade and a broad canopy that frames a stately procession into the lobby.
To accentuate this prominent threshold, Bolt fixtures were installed at the base of the vertical mullions along the façade. These fixtures deliver vibrant colored uplighting that grazes the stone and glass surfaces, creating a striking visual rhythm across the building’s columns and window bays. By transforming the entry façade at night, the lighting reinforces the building’s elegant geometry while establishing a vivid, welcoming street presence.
